Neo Fung & Mutanta
By embodying the rituality of traditional Crafts, the performers enact intense corporeal relations in order to explore the vulnerabilities of masculine archetypes in Latin and Western culture, as well as expose our exploitative relations to vegetative life forms. Moreover, all the props and outfits for the show were created by Mutanta as part of her research and collaborative project over the past year with local communities of Artisans in northern Brasil. Neo Fung is Cabra-Macho, Cabrón: the archetype of masculine courage and strength braving Brazil’s semi-arid region. He wears bestial hooves & leather pieces referencing designs of Brazilian farmers. Mutanta is a tropical plant from Amazon jungle. She is tangled with ropes initially immobilizing her body into a form of vegetative life. She has huge antlers coming from in-between her legs. Her hands are free to weave patterns onto the antlers & rope-tentacle extensions.

Video TRANSCENDENCE by Kimatica
Transcendence is a multidisciplinary practice-based research,
exploring how live performance art in combination with interactive
technology can induce altered states of consciousness. A multi-
sensory experience taking its audience onto an immersive journey
through the subconscious mind by manipulation perception through contemporary mediums.
’We always say that with Kimatica we actually do portals. We make
experiences that give access to other realities. I am very
inspired by shamanism. The mission of the artist is the same as
that of the shaman –that of a healer. And at the same time that of
a revolutionary who dares to subvert the status quo.’
Video The Technology of Becoming
Finalist at the Flicks Film Festival in London 2019, this animation presents a spiritual mantra of positive transformation for the artist in discovering her esoteric white witch powers. It consists of HD video in combination of 300 2D stop motion animation frames, carefully and craftily hand drawn by the artist herself.
Isn’tses is a collaboration between visual/electronic artist and musician Lisa McKendrick (Listen Lisse) and animator and electronic artist Tim Drage (Cementimental). The duo perform wearing costumes and masks in conjunction with live video projections and illuminated props. They deliver a spontaneous and improvised performance using theatrical style interaction with their self-built synths, noise boxes, circuit bent toys and vocals. Their music conjures themes such as paganism, freedom of speech, freedom of sound, intergalactic heroism and a playful interpretation of popular culture.
